Overview

Jagiellonian University engaged Duntext to prepare academic manuscripts, abstracts, and selected chapters for international publication. The work combined PL→EN translation with high-level editing to ensure terminological consistency, clarity, and fluency suitable for peer-reviewed journals.

I supplied revisions using Track Changes, along with brief editor’s notes summarising key decisions around terminology alignment, structure, and stylistic conventions. The result was text that retained academic integrity while reading naturally to international reviewers.

Problem

• Manuscripts written in Polish required clear and accurate PL→EN translation for submission.

• Authors needed support with journal-specific requirements (APA/Chicago style, abstract limits, referencing).

• Some sections required structural refinement for clarity and logical flow.

 

Approach

• PL→EN translation of selected sections, ensuring terminology stays consistent with existing literature in the field.

• Copy-editing for clarity, coherence, conciseness, and academic tone.

• Alignment with journal reference styles (APA/Chicago), including citations, bibliography, tables, and figures.

• Track Changes workflow with transparent edits and concise editor’s notes.

• Final pass ensuring readability and adherence to submission guidelines.

• Manuscripts submitted on schedule and accepted for review without further editing requests.
